International scientific conference “Digital medical systems and technologies”

The possibilities of medicine are being actively used all over the world. Telemedicine, which does not require hospitalization, has begun to conduct remote examinations. This has helped poor people living in remote and hard-to-reach areas, as well as the development of telehealth services.

On October 4-6, 2023, an international scientific conference on the topic “Digital Medical Systems and Technologies” was held jointly with the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, “LETI” of the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 Tashkent Medical Academy. The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the rector of the Tashkent State Technical University, Professor S.M. Turabdzhanov. Professors and teachers of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of the Tashkent Medical Academy took part in the conference with lectures. At the conference, lectures were heard from performers on the topic “Development of an algorithmic-software complex for analysis, processing and remote monitoring of electrocardiographic signals based on modern artificial intelligence methods” with the financial support of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Professor N.M. Nurillaeva, head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of the Tashkent Medical Academy, gave a lecture on the topic “Heart rate variability: technical and prognostic foundations.” Telemedicine is the provision of medical services at a distance using information and communication technologies (mobile and landline phones, video conferencing, messenger) and the interaction of field workers. This not only allows for early diagnosis and immediate treatment of any patient, but also saves doctors time and effort by providing assistance without the need to visit the client.

Remote examination of the patient. Medical staff have the opportunity to observe the improvement of patients’ condition during the implementation of the treatment plan, without the need to come for a consultation with a doctor. Some telemedicine solutions are convenient, in which you can immediately transmit information about the patient to the entire team that is observing him and enter the information into the electronic medical record.

Storage and transmission of medical information. One of the main drivers of telemedicine is the intermediate storage of medical data (test results, vital signs, laboratory reports and profile documents), which can be easily sent to the appropriate specialists.

At the end of the conference, partner scientists expressed their opinions and wished to continue cooperation in the future.
