Visited the Square of Memory and Honor – a monument dedicated to the fallen during the Great Patriotic War
Zubaydullaeva M.T. The curator of the 408 group of the medical faculty on May 4, 2018, together with the students visited the Square of Memory and Honor – a monument dedicated to the fallen during the Great Patriotic War.
The monument is located on Independence Square in front of the Eternal Flame, it was erected in 1999 in memory of 400 thousand soldiers of Uzbekistan, who died during the Second World War. In the niches under the awnings along the approach to the Eternal Fire their names are written.
Eternal flame is a sacred place on Independence Square. Many young and old people come to this monument – they all think, looking at the monument, about the sacrifices incurred in that Great War, about the great courage that all the soldiers and people showed Great Country. The grieving woman symbolizes the country and every mother who did not wait for her sons from the war.
This monument tells us that no one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten. The war affected every family of Uzbekistan.
